COVID updates: WA Premier Mark McGowan says no new community cases detected on first day of lockdown

More than 2,000 people vaccinated yesterday in WA: Health Minister
WA’s Health Minister is speaking now. He says vaccination clinics are continuing to operate and urged people to get tested.
“We have administered almost 90,000 vaccinations, and just yesterday, 2,223 people were vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccination is the best protection against the virus for workers and for members of the public. Therefore we encourage you to get the vaccination as soon as possible and as soon as you become eligible.”
And now to the police commissioner. He’s urging people in locked-down areas to stand at the end of their driveway to commemorate Anzac Day. He’s also telling people to stay home.
