Coronavirus Australia update LIVE : Perth in lockdown after hotel outbreak, states impose restrictions, new clot cases – The Sydney Morning Herald
Experts are questioning the usefulness of hotel quarantine after a breach in Western Australia sparked a fresh lockdown.
The announcement of WAs sharp lockdown yesterday afternoon threw the plans of long weekenders at Perths most popular holiday island in disarray.
Dozens of guests at Rottnest Island received a text message about 4.20pm informing them accommodation had closed and they had to return to the mainland that evening.
Additional ferry services have been scheduled, please contact your ferry operator immediately to amend your ticket, the message read.
Visitors line up to catch the ferry home at Thompson Bay…
