What WA’s snap lockdown means for Queenslanders

The Perth and Peel regions of WA will enter a snap lockdown at midnight after an outbreak of COVID-19 in hotel quarantine spread into the community.Queensland’s Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young on Friday night ordered that anyone in Queensland who had been in Perth or Peel since April 17 must comply with the requirements of WA’s lockdown.That means they must stay home until at least 2am on April 27 and can only leave for essential purposes, including to get a COVID-19 test.
