Two men have been charged over the alleged online racial abuse of NRL player Latrell Mitchell.

Police started investigating reports from the NRL integrity unit earlier this week about the alleged social media messages.
Detectives from the Fixated Persons Investigation Unit charged the two men following inquiries into the alleged offensive messages sent to Mitchell last weekend.
