COVID-19 fragments discovered in wastewater catchments in Daylesford and Benalla – 7NEWS.com.au
These areas have been placed on high alert for signs of COVID-19.
For the second time this week, COVID-19 fragments have been found in Victorian wastewater catchments.
The Department of Health earlier advised traces of the virus had been found in Moonee Ponds Main and Ringwood South Branch catchments.
On Thursday, it said detections were made in the catchments in Daylesford and Benalla.
However, it says it is more likely that the discovery indicates old cases of the virus who are no longer infectious.
