Gastro outbreaks at childcare centres prompt hygiene push – Shepparton News

AFTER a spike in gastro outbreaks at early childhood centres in Victoria, families and staff are being urged to keep up good handwashing practices.There have been 389 outbreaks in childcare so far in 2021 — including one in the Campaspe region — four times higher than the average for this time of year.
Victorian executive director for communicable disease Dr Bruce Bolam said childcare workers, the children and their families all had a role to play in limiting the spread of the virus.
