AFL comes down hard after ‘please explain’

The Collingwood Magpies have been hit with a $20,000 fine by the AFL after duo Jordan De Goey and Jeremy Howe were caught up in a phone breach.
The Magpies were put under the microscope when De Goey and Howe, who had both come off the ground due to injuries, were seen with their phones in their hands in the change rooms during the second quarter of their side’s loss to West Coast on Friday.
Following an investigation, the league determined both players only used their phones to contact family members…
