Man charged with murder after woman’s burnt body found in Gold Coast backyard
Detectives have charged a 34-year-old man with murder and breaching a domestic violence order over the death of a woman whose body was found burned in a backyard on the Gold Coast.
The man remains under police guard in hospital and the charges will be presented to the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow in his absence.
Formal identification continues after the woman’s body was found at a Spikes Court home this morning, but police believe it to be 27-year-old Kelly Wilkinson, who lived there.
More to come.
