Have the Hawks found themselves a young gem? – SEN
“He is going to be some player.”
Hawthorn have found themselves a super player in first-round draft pick Will Day, according to Tim Watson.
Days performance in Sundays 43-point loss to Melbourne was a positive for the struggling Hawks amid calls for the club to conduct a rebuild by going to the draft.
In his second AFL game, the 19-year-old had 19 disposals, eight marks, four tackles and 332 metres gained against the Demons and Watson thinks the young defender has a bright future ahead of him.
