‘Never needed to cheat’: Banned Eagle Willie Rioli vows to prove ‘doubters’ wrong – Fox Sports
West Coast forward Willie Rioli says his family’s record in football proves he “never needed to cheat” as he and the Eagles wait for answers from ASADA.
Rioli remains sidelined as hes serving a provisional suspension for returning an adverse finding on a drugs test conducted by ASADA in 2019. Hes facing a ban of up to four years after allegedly tampering with his urine sample during the August 20 test.
Two weeks after that test, Rioli tested positive for a metabolite of cannabis on a match day in September. But its the first incident that threatens his career, with ASADA investigations ongoing.
