The Russian state penitentiary service says jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny will be transferred to a hospital.

- Mr Navalny will be transferred to a hospital for prisoners in a city east of Moscow, authorities say
Mr Navalny is in the third week of a hunger strike.
Two days ago Mr Navalny’s physician, Yaroslav Ashikhmin, said the opposition leader’s health was deteriorating rapidly and he could be on the verge of death.
