Rugby league icon Tommy Raudonikis was farewelled at an emotional memorial service on Monday, lauded as an inimitable and beloved character.
The former Western Suburbs, Newtown, NSW and Australia halfback brought out rugby league royalty at the SCG, where he once terrorised opponents.
Nine’s legendary commentator Ray Warren called Raudonikis the “most competitive to have ever played the game” and also “one of the greatest characters the game has ever seen”.
