Police on lookout for Big Bird costume stolen from Adelaide Sesame Street Circus Spectacular

A 213cm-tall Big Bird costume reportedly worth $160,000 and made of ostrich feathers has been stolen from a circus in Adelaide.

- A Big Bird costume was stolen from an Adelaide circus
- Yellow feathers were found on nearby Port Road
- The costume came from New York and there is no spare for the show
Police are investigating the theft from the Sesame Street Circus Spectacular at Bonython Park sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.
Circus director Keith Brown said a trail of feathers on a nearby road could help catch the culprit.
“He’s left a couple of feathers down Port Road for us, so maybe some of those cameras on Port Road will help us,” Mr Brown told ABC Radio Adelaide’s Afternoons show.
