It’s the third meningococcal case to be reported in South Australia so far this year.
A four-month-old baby girl has been admitted to hospital with a case of invasive meningococcal disease.
The infant, who is from metropolitan Adelaide, is in a stable condition.
The strain has yet to be identified.
SA Health issued a statement late on Friday after the case was recorded – marking the third in the state this year, compared to two reported at the same time last year.
Multiple people who had close contact with the patient have been identified, and eight people have been directed to receive…
