Tiptoe through the Cretaceous: baby dino footprint shows toe-walking – Brisbane Times
The footprint of a baby stegosaurus – the smallest ever found – shows the animals tiptoed its way across north-west China 110 million years ago.

Researchers have identified the smallest footprint from a stegosaur ever found, likely made by a baby stegosaurus walking on its tiptoes.
The print was found in north-west China on an expedition led by Associate Professor Lida Xing from the China University of Geosciences, and was among many other much larger prints of adult animals.
