Mineral Resources’ Chris Ellison has blamed WA’s hard border for creating a truck driver shortage that has left iron ore ‘sitting idle’.

Travellers from Queensland, Victoria and NSW were faced with 14 days quarantine upon arrival in WA at various times during the first three months of 2021.
Rio Tinto chief executive Jakob Stausholm was among those affected, having to serve out two weeks of quarantine in a Perth hotel room after he flew in from Europe.
Mr McGowan responded to pressure from industry last week when he halved the number of infection-free days to 14 days that WA required before it would relax quarantine rules on travellers…
