‘I wasn’t going to quit on the boys’: John Morris opens up on sacking – Sydney Morning Herald
John Morris has broken his silence to reveal he wanted to keep on coaching the Sharks until the end of the season despite the appointment of Craig Fitzgibbon.

During that time, he handed 11 players their debuts, including the unearthing of rising stars Toby Rudolf, Siosifa Talakai and Royce Hunt.
Its clear to everyone that I have a passion for the club and the team and theres a desire for us to do well this year, Morris said.
Whilst this has been devastating for myself, I hope the boys can focus on the job at hand. I said to them today that they should make sure we set out to finish what we set out to do.
Theyre in really good stead, they have worked…
