Dual-sport star announces AFLW retirement

Collingwood vice-captain Sharni Norder (nee Layton) has announced her retirement after a decorated 18-year sporting career.
The Magpies ruck told her teammates on Wednesday night that her AFLW career had come to a close after playing 23 matches in the black and white.
Norder is one of Australias greatest netball players, beginning her career in 2004. She won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games before turning her attention to the AFLW competition where she was drafted ahead of the 2019 season.
