Bridgerton’s executive producer Shonda Rhimes, the mastermind behind Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, has spoken out for the first time about star Regé-Jean Page’s shock exit from the show.
Fans were left scratching their heads and hoping it was some belated April Fool’s Day prank when Netflix and Shondaland announced on April 2 that Page’s much-burned-for character, Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, will not appear on the show’s upcoming second season.
