Swimmer in critical condition after near-drowning
Critical-care paramedics were treating a swimmer who almost drowned at Main Beach on the Gold Coast on Wednesday.
The person was in a critical condition following the incident off Seaworld Drive just before 2pm.
Reports suggested the person had not been swimming in the surf at the time of the incident but had been at another location on Seaworld Drive.
The patient was believed to be an adult.
