‘We need this reality check’

The Matildas’ first international game since the COVID-19 pandemic started over a year ago didn’t quite go to plan after they were handed a brutal “reality check” by world No.2 Germany.
The Australians notched two late goals to at least come away with something positive, but were ultimately outplayed by the Germans, who won 5-2 at BRITA-Arena in Wiesbaden.
