Brisbane man remembered after tragic rock climbing accident

A young man who died while rock climbing on Saturday in the Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast has been remembered for his effervescent and joyful personality.
Peter Garlick, 18, was rock climbing at Mount Ngungun at noon on Saturday where he suffered a significant fall.

A rescue helicopter was sent and paramedics treated Mr Garlick for critical injuries after he fell 40 metres, however he died at the scene.
Mr Garlick, who graduated from Northside Christian College in 2019, was studying teaching at QUT.
