Authorities at scene of serious house fire in Brisbane’s north
Emergency services were on the scene of what authorities described as a serious house fire in Brisbane’s north that has left part of the roof collapsed on Friday.
Firefighters were called to the single-story brick home on Hervey Street, North Lakes, about 10.30am, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
Police declared a crime scene and were still trying to determine if, and how many, people might have been inside the home.
Paramedics were also called to the street, with one unit remaining on standby.
The QFES spokeswoman said seven appliances were involved in the response, with the home well alight when they arrived.
