RSL WA will include acknowledgment of country in 2021 Anzac Dawn Service at Kings Park

The WA branch of the RSL says it will recommend an acknowledgement of country be performed at the beginning of all Anzac and Remembrance Day services.
It comes after the RSL last year overturned a ban on performing Welcome to Country ceremonies and flying the Aboriginal flag at services following a public backlash.
The ban had been instituted after some members had taken issue with the Ode of Remembrance being translated and delivered in Noongar at the 2019 Anzac dawn service in Fremantle, and the RSL said at the time it did not support the performance of…
