Darwin faces unprecedented hire car shortage ahead of dry season

A bumper wedding season, a long lead-time for new cars, and half-price domestic flights are creating a perfect storm for a shortage in rental cars.
J’s Car Hire is a second-tier car hire company which rents older cars.
James De Dassel said most of his cars have been on the road since dry season 2020.
“It’s unprecedented,” he said.
