Search for boy who went missing in popular Queensland swimming spot ends in tragedy
A search for a boy who went missing on Thursday afternoon while swimming at Cedar Creek Falls in Queensland’s Whitsunday region has ended in tragedy.
A body belonging to a 13-year-old boy was discovered in the creek.
Search teams involving police, fire fighters and paramedics looked all day and into the night before they made the gruesome discovery around 10pm that same day.
He was found in the water by police divers.
His body was recovered using swift water rescue teams.
