Significant police operation under way to combat hooning on Gold Coast
A significant operation is now underway over the coming weeks as officers work with other police districts and councils as offenders move to different locations.
“We’re now using a borderless police approach to manage this issue, although we may have police from the Gold Coast operating … we will work across the south-east corner, if they don’t rock up on the Gold Coast this weekend, they may go to another location, say Logan, our resources will move to that location and assist local police in managing that issue,” he said.
Superintendent Wildman said the people police were targeting often posted the activity on social media, allowing officers to track them down at a later date.
