Search and rescue for young boy missing at Gold Coast waterfall
Emergency services are searching for a young boy who went missing while swimming at a Gold Coast hinterland waterfall on Thursday afternoon.
About 5pm, police received reports a young boy who had been swimming at Cedar Creek Falls at Tamborine Mountain was missing.
It is believed the boy, aged between 10 and 12, was swimming with friends when he called out for help.
A swiftwater rescue team, in addition to multiple police, QFES and ambulance crews, is on scene to search the rock pools for the boy.
As of just after 6pm, police said the boy still remains unaccounted for.
