No ‘obvious causal link’ between elderly woman’s death and vaccine

“The TGA [Therapeutic Goods Administration] is monitoring COVID-19 vaccination in elderly patients across the world and is in regular contact with global regulators,” Professor Kelly said.
“As with any other reported case, it is investigated, although at this stage there are no signs of any causal link,” he said.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk expressed her sadness at the death on Thursday, and said she was sure it would be investigated thoroughly.
“Any death is a tragedy and I think they need to look very closely at were there any other conditions or it was vaccine-related,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
“We’ll be getting some updates about that … but in terms of the vaccine, the benefits outweigh the negatives.”
