Roosters hooker Jake Friend is set to retire from rugby league with immediate effect after informing teammates of his decision to hang up the boots.
The hooker, who won three premierships with the Chooks, is said to have told the club and his fellow teammates of his future plans, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
