Karmichael Hunt wants to play five-eighth for the Brisbane Broncos and has backed Tom Dearden as the club’s long-term halfback.
Former premiership star Hunt, 34, is playing for Broncos feeder club Souths Logan but is adamant that he could still thrive in the NRL.
He hasn’t played first grade rugby league since 2009, due to stints in AFL and rugby union, but the dual international believes that he can do a job as Brisbane struggle to find a winning formula.
