Police declare possible murder-suicide after husband and wife die in crash

Police believe the crash that killed a Sunshine Coast couple on Easter Sunday might have been a murder-suicide committed by the male driver when he drove into a tree.
Emergency services, including specialist critical care paramedics, were called to the scene on David Low Way in Pacific Paradise, north of Maroochydore, about 7am.
The 2016 white Nissan Qashqai SUV left the roadway and crashed into a tree, trapping the 68-year-old woman and her 69-year-old husband in the wreckage.
The Sunshine Coast couple was freed and rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where the man died on Sunday and his wife died overnight.
