A devastated Queensland mother who lost her son to suicide last month says she “isn’t going to stop fighting” as deaths by suicide pile up in her community.

Donna McDowell, 50, says that her son’s suicide isn’t the first in the small community of Hervey Bay in southern Queensland, and it won’t be the last.
