Google is making important changes to the way Android apps operate – TechRadar
Google will no longer allow Android apps to see what else is installed on your device
As of early next month, Android 11 apps that gather information about other apps installed on the same device will no longer be welcome on the Play Store, as per updated Google policies.
Explaining its reasoning, Google said information about whats installed on a device is private and should remain so. The company urged developers to update their apps, or provide proof that this type of data is essential to their apps functionality.
