Australia imported just 1.57 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines by the end of March – a fraction of the federal government’s early target.

Production delays and Europes decision to block vaccine exports means Australia has received just 700,000 AstraZeneca doses. So that explains the difference, Mr Hunt said on Wednesday.
That left the federal government with about 1.57 million doses, enough to immunise about 785,000 people.
