Tamworth’s Covid rate highest in Staffordshire and almost double national rate – Birmingham Live

Tamworth’s Covid rate is now comfortably the highest in Staffordshire and almost double the national rate.
In the latest seven day rate figures from March 22 to 28, the town’s rate was 93.9.
That was substantially higher than the 72.6 in East Staffordshire, 62 in Lichfield, 53.6 in Cannock Chase, 42.5 in Newcastle, 37.4 in South Staffordshire, 31.5 in Staffordshire Moorlands and 27.7 in Stafford.
Staffordshire’s rate is 50.5, compared to 59.7 in the West Midlands and 53.1 in England.
