Olympian Nathan Baggaley found guilty over failed high-seas cocaine plot

Olympian Nathan Baggaley has been found guilty of taking part in a failed plot to bring 650 kilograms of cocaine into Australia, a scheme that led to a high-seas chase involving the navy, the air force and police.
His younger brother Dru Baggaley was found guilty of the same offence – attempting to import a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug – related to the same 2018 attempt.

Thursday’s verdict ended of the two-week trial in Brisbane’s Supreme Court of Olympic silver medallist kayaker Nathan Baggaley, 45, and oyster farmer Dru, 39.
Both had pleaded not guilty.
