Brisbane lockdown extension announcement looming as Easter holiday plans linger in limbo

More than two million Australians are waiting with bated breath to learn what their Easter holidays will look like.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is set to announce on Thursday morning the outcome of the three-day snap lockdown.

The 72-hour shutdown was introduced on Monday afternoon to combat the spread of community transmission of COVID-19.
There were four cases announced on Monday, eight on Tuesday and two on Wednesday.
