New York City police arrest suspect in brutal bashing of Asian-American woman
US police have arrested the suspect wanted in a brutal attack on an Asian-American woman near New York City’s Times Square and charged him with felony assault as a hate crime.

The arrest comes after a man was seen on video kicking and stomping on the woman on Monday.
In a statement on Wednesday, police identified the man as Brandon Elliot, 38, of New York City, and said he faced charges of assault as a hate crime, attempted assault as a hate crime, assault and attempted assault.
