Australia’s Olympic team reveals its uniform for Tokyo, with the design paying tribute to Indigenous past athletes – ABC News
Australia’s Olympic uniform design was inspired by, and pays tribute to, 52 Indigenous athletes from the past.
After four years of design, testing and manufacturing plus a year-long delay due to COVID the 490 Australian athletes heading to the Tokyo Olympic Games got to see what they’ll be wearing.
If social media is any guide, the initial reactions have been positive.
The shades of green and gold are about as good as you can get, items are tailored for each of the 30-plus sports, and the overall look is clean and professional without being garish like some designs of the past.
