Passengers of The Ghan trapped on train for 30 hours due to COVID outbreak

Peter Harris was celebrating his 80th birthday by ticking The Ghan off his “bucket list”.
It was his second attempt at riding the famed Australian passenger train after COVID-19 ruined his plans last year.

“We were trying to make sure his 80th birthday was really special,” she told 7NEWS.
They boarded in Adelaide on Sunday, before arriving in Alice Springs the following day.
