RSL president under fire for reported personal attack against veterans advocate

The head of the Returned and Services League (RSL) is under fire for reportedly claiming a woman whose son died by suicide has been trying to alleviate her “guilt” over the tragedy.
Julie-Ann Finney has long been calling for a royal commission into veteran suicides after losing her son Dave, a 20-year Navy officer, in 2018.
A petition by her has attracted almost 407,000 signatures.
