Greater Brisbane lockdown extension a ‘day-by-day’ prospect amid COVID outbreak
A decision whether to extend the Greater Brisbane lockdown beyond three days has been described as a “day-by-day” prospect.
Millions of people were placed under strict restrictions at 5pm on Monday due to an outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the community.
The restrictions include not being allowed to leave home unless for essential purposes, and having to wear a mask if doing so.
The lockdown in Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay and Redlands was due to end on Thursday evening.
