Queensland tourism operators had been hoping for a bumper Easter period to help make up for the end of the JobKeeper scheme.

Most interstate visitors are fearful they will be forced to go into two weeks quarantine when they return from their holiday.
Resort managers have been asking holidaymakers to hold fire on cancellations until the Palaszczuk government decides whether it will extend the lockdown into the Easter weekend.
Tourism and Transport Forum chief executive Margy Osmond said the lockdown was a disaster for traveller confidence over the Easter break.
