Noosa Mayor, business tell Brisbane visitors to stay away during COVID-19 lockdown

A Sunshine Coast mayor is pleading for Brisbane holidaymakers to stay away from Noosa during the three-day lockdown, as some businesses announce they won’t take guests from the state’s capital.
Key points:
- Noosa Mayor Clare Stewart says everyone needs to cooperate
- A Noosa holiday park says it will not accept visitors from the lockdown area
- A Sunshine Coast doctor says some people might leave Brisbane before the lockdown
The move came after Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced a snap lockdown would take effect from 5:00pm Monday in the Greater Brisbane area.
The restrictions will be reviewed again on Wednesday.
Noosa Mayor Clare Stewart said visitors from Brisbane should not come to Noosa until the lockdown had ended.
