Interestingly, the report has lifted the forecast from a year ago for new household and commercial gas users over the next 20 years by 100,000 to an extra 1.6 million connections. That increase comes even as the ACT government has moved to ban new residential gas connections in favour of electricity, and other jurisdictions may follow.
