Gambling giant Tabcorp has rejected a $3 billion offer from British group Entain to buy its wagering and media division but will run a strategic review that could lead to a spin-off or auction of the business.
Entain, which owns Ladbrokes, lobbed its bid for Tabcorps bookmaking business in early February, with at least one rival private equity-backed consortium expressing interest and the Murdoch familys Fox Corporation also exploring a bid.
