South Australia becomes first state to close border to Queensland amid COVID outbreak

South Australia has become the first state to close the border to Queensland ahead of a lockdown of Greater Brisbane.
Only returning South Australian residents, essential travellers and people permanently relocating will be exempt from the closure, which comes into effect from 4pm on Monday.
Greater Brisbane will be locked down from 5pm due to a COVID-19 outbreak of at least seven cases.
