Rohan Browning has run the fastest time ever by an Australian on home soil and will take on the fastest men in the world when he becomes the first Australian male to run the marquee 100-metre sprint at the Olympics in 17 years.
Browning ran just outside the elusive 10-second barrier when he won in 10.05 seconds in Queensland on Saturday night. Close rival Jack Hale finished third in 10.33s behind Kiwi runner Edward Osei-Nketia.
