Ben Hunt facing stint on sidelines after playing on with broken leg – Sydney Morning Herald
Just as he was finding his best form, the St George Illawarra skipper is facing the prospect of an enforced layoff.

St George Illawarra skipper Ben Hunt is facing a stint on the sidelines after playing through the pain of a broken leg on Friday night.
Hunt suffered what medicos first thought was a calf cork, but the injury has now been determined as an impact fracture to his fibula. Extraordinarily, the Maroons playmaker played through the pain for much of his sides 38-12 win over the Sea Eagles in Wollongong.
Hunts return-to-play timeframe has not yet been determined and will be subject to follow-up consultations…
